A handoff is only as good as the information behind it.
A prospect calls about a family law matter. Intake records a phone number in one spreadsheet, adds notes somewhere else, and mentions the consultation to a colleague. By the time the closer prepares, the matter type, lead source or reason for calling may be missing.
Those gaps affect more than one conversation. Intake cannot easily see what happened next, the closer has to ask the same questions again, and marketing sees a lead count without the context to judge whether those inquiries became worthwhile opportunities.
